The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Utah Jazz at the Staples Center on Friday, January 2, 2008.

The Lakers won handily over the Jazz, 113 to 100. The Lakers were up big in the first quarter and cruised onto a win, despite several comebacks by the Jazz.

Led by Kobe Bryant’s 40 points and Pau Gasol 21 points, the Lakers won . Pau Gasol reached the 10,000 points plateau, becoming just the 15th international player to do so.
